How booking works

At Short Notice is designed for fast local requests when you need a DJ, singer, photographer or event professional without lots of back-and-forth.

Send your detailsThe relevant provider or provider group receives the request and can respond.

For customers

Do I pay when I send a request?

At this testing stage, the request process is focused on connecting you with a suitable professional. Any payment, deposit or final price confirmation should be agreed clearly before the job goes ahead.

What happens if nobody accepts?

If a First Available request is not accepted quickly, At Short Notice may follow up manually or you can contact support for help.

Can I choose a specific professional?

Yes. If featured professionals are available for your selected service, you can choose one directly instead of using First Available.

Will my details be shared with everyone?

No. For First Available requests, your customer contact details should only be revealed once a provider accepts the job.

For professionals

At Short Notice is building a network of trusted local professionals who can take suitable jobs quickly, especially when they have unexpected availability.

How do I join?

Use the “For Pros” form on the booking page or email office@atshortnotice.co with what you do, where you work, and how you prefer to be contacted.

What will I see before accepting?

You should see the service, general location, date/time, fixed fee or price guidance, and event details. Customer contact details are revealed after acceptance.

Can I be featured?

Featured positions are controlled by At Short Notice. Approved providers can be shown publicly for relevant service categories.

Email support and include as much useful detail as possible: your service, date, time, location, and any screenshots if something has gone wrong.
